Holcim announced the second course of the professional driving school of transport and heavy machinery Women behind the wheel, this time for obtaining a professional license to drive heavy and especially heavy trucks.
And also with new allies: Conduespol, Conexpet, Bimbo, Cervecería Nacional and GAD from Samborondón join this initiative Holcim Ecuador, in alliance with Nirsa and with the support of UN Women.

In this new promotion, the license to be obtained will be type E, which allows them to drive heavy and extra heavy trucks, with or without a trailer, greater than 3.5 tons, such as trailers, tipper trucks, tankers, public platforms and mixer trucks.
The study lasts seven months and includes a 90% scholarship.
Applications are possible until May 3. Those interested can apply via the website www.holcim.com.ec/mujeres-al-volante. The requirements for this second promotion are legal age, a bachelor’s degree and a current Type C license.

Classes will start on May 20 and end in November 2023. They will be in hybrid mode, which corresponds to 320 theoretical hours. on the line and 80 hours of practice in the field. The intensive schedule of classes will be on weekends, which allows them to enroll in the program from anywhere in the country.
This program aims at equal opportunities. The first class was completed by 29 women with a type G professional license, which enables them to drive heavy agricultural machinery, truck equipment and other vehicles.
