From the first loans for the preparation of typical dishes, food and the hotel sector with an interest rate of 5% that were delivered in January until now Banecuador has funded 69 tourism-related businesses with more than $1.2 million.
The Minister of Tourism, Niels Olsen, indicated that the Government still has about 19 million dollars to support this sector with these loans of up to 20,000 dollars for ten years.
BanEcuador launched a loan aimed at the public and commercial transport sector
There is more interest in Pichincha and Azuay, since these are the provinces where BanEcuador reports the highest number of operations. Twelve loans were approved in Pichincha in the total amount of $210,000 and ten in Azuay in the amount of $194,000. Nine loans were granted in Loja, eight in Manabí and six in Imbabura and another six in Morona Santiago.
In Cañaro, Esmeraldas, Los Ríos, Pastaza, Sucumbíos and Tungurahua, two approved loans were reported in each of these provinces and in Bolívar, Carchi, Chimborazo, Cotopaxi, and one loan in Santo Domingo and one in Santa Elena.
Last Friday, that loan was delivered in Salinas for $10,000 to a company registered for the activity of travel agencies, for the sale of travel services, organized trips, transportation, accommodation and others.
Dues with BanEcuador can now be settled until June 30, 2023.
This new financial product from BanEcuador, which lasts four months, covers 18 provinces with a total payout of USD 1,251,550. It is intended for individuals and legal entities engaged in tourism.
The recent delivery was made in cooperation with other users of the state loan program 1×30: 1% with a term of up to 30 years for agriculture, craftsmen and women. This low-cost financing plan started in 2022 and has since been extended to other sectors.
