The Ministry of Production (Produce) reported that through the National Fund for Fisheries Development-(Fondepes) will invest about S / 468 million 384,000 in investment projects that will benefit 18,350 artisanal fishermen throughout the country, which will result in works for a total of 73,400 Peruvians.
In this sense, the ministry explained that during this year the Fondepes will carry out a portfolio of projects that include 34 artisanal fishing landing sites (DPA)with an investment planned to be executed for this year of S/ 55.3 million.
He explained that it has been scheduled to open in the rest of the year andl Ilo DPA in the Moquegua region Y the DPA of San Juan de Marcona in Ica. The first will be delivered next September, while the second will be before the end of the year.
Produce and Fondepes specified that the projected investment to July 2026 will be directed to the entire country. On the coast it will be in the regions of Tumbes, Piura, La Libertad, Áncash, Lima, Ica and Arequipa; in the Sierra, Puno; and in the Jungle, Loreto, Ucayali and Madre de Dios.
In 2023, S/ 108,711,441 million will be invested; in 2024, S/ 142 million 544,781; in 2025, S/ 150 million 216,317; and July 2026, S/ 66 million 912,089.83.
Among the landing sites to intervene in the coming years are Chancay, Huarmey, Pacasmayo, Conchitas, Islilla, Puerto Morín, Planchada, Huacho, Paita, Matarani Lighthouse, Cerro Azul, Madre de Dios, Puno and Pucallpa.
