May It is one of the most awaited months for workers Peruvians, because they deposit Compensation and Time for Services (CTS). This labor benefit is granted to the employee who is on the payroll, in order to protect him financially when his employment relationship ends. The maximum term to deposit this Extra money expires on the 15th of this month. For this reason, the question arises: is it possible to withdraw the CTS during this 2023? We tell you here.
Can I withdraw the CTS that they deposit in May 2023?
The pandemic of COVID-19 left severe economic consequences. In this context, the Government approved for the first time, through emergency decree 033-2020, that workers have the possibility of withdraw up to S/2,400 from your CTS in both May and November.
The second time that the availability of this fund was authorized was in March 2021, when Congress authorized, through the Law 31171, that the workers have 100% of the deposits of the CTS made in financial institutions.

In the same north, through Law 31480, in May 2022, it was approved that workers freely dispose of their accumulated money until December 31, 2023. This means that the benefit of the retirement of Compensation and Time for Service is in force and ends this year, in such a way that the workforce also has the possibility of withdrawing up to the second deposit of the CTS that is made in November.
After this date, Law No. 30334 would apply again, which indicates that employees can withdraw 100% of your CTS that exceeds four salaries, because these are intangible, that is, they cannot be touched except by reason of termination of the worker.
CTS 2023: who is not entitled to this extra money?
- Workers who work less than four hours a day.
- Those who receive 30% or more of the rates paid by the public.
- The workers of the microenterprise hired after the registration of the company in the REMYPE.
- Workers who receive full annual remuneration.
- Workers of the agricultural labor regime who have chosen to collect their CTS together with their remuneration (Law 30110 and DS 005-2021-Minagri).
The workers who have less than a month of services should know that they are not entitled to receive this money. However, your days worked will be counted in the semester from May to October 2023, so the accumulated CTS will be deposited until November 15 of this year.
CTS part time: what is missing before the law is approved?
Workers in the part-time or part-time modality could add a new labor benefit to their list of rights: the CTS. The opinion was approved in the Labor Commission, and now it is probable that it can be requested for review by the Economic Commission, chaired by the Fujimori parliamentarian rosangella barbaranwhich is also in charge of the AFP withdrawal projects and one of the pension reform proposals.

If there is no major exception, the project should be scheduled as soon as possible in the plenary session of the Congress, where it must be debated and approved by a simple majority; and if so, it will remain in the hands of the Executive for its respective promulgation or observation.
