The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS) published the complementary norms to the regulation of the law of minimum pensions in the AFPs.
In the regulations, published this Tuesday, April 25 in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette El Peruano, it states that the AFPs must inform their affiliates about the characteristics of the Minimum Objective Pension (PMO), its benefits, the causes for termination of foster care and how surpluses will be calculated, as well as the conditions and availability from retirement age.
In addition, the entity urges the AFP establish service channels that preserve the personal information of users and that avoid the risks of identity theft.
The AFP must also notify its affiliates interested in the minimum pension: the total amount (which may not be less than the basic consumption basket set by the INEI), the conformation of their family group, if their voluntary contributions are considered for calculate the minimum retirement balance and the periodicity and, finally, the channel for the information to be sent to the citizen.
