Ministry of Housing delivered 1,499 Green Bonds for families that purchased sustainable homes

The Ministry of Housing Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) granted, in the first quarter of this year, 1,499 Mivivienda Verde Bonds (BMV) to families that purchased a house certified as sustainable by the Mivivienda Fund.

This delivery meant a disbursement of more than S/8 million and was made through the Nuevo Crédito Mivivienda (NVMV) that grants this benefit to middle-income people with good credit history.

The bonds have a value between S/16,200 and S/31,100, depending on the price of the eco-sustainable apartment that is acquired. Currently, there are more than 300 projects throughout the country with the necessary characteristics to apply for this subsidy.

What benefits does a sustainable house have?

Among the benefits of this type of housing are: savings of up to 30% in monthly electricity and water consumption, a waste management or recycling planwater treatment that can be reused to irrigate green areas, natural gas installations, parking for alternative vehicles with low or no energy consumption, such as bicycles, among other benefits.

What are the requirements to access this bonus?

To access the BMV, interested parties must be of legal age; be subject to credit by the financial entity through which the financing will be granted; comply with the payment of the initial fee of the property, which must be at least 7.5% of the value of this; not be the owner of another home at the national level; not have any credit pending payment with FMV; and not having received housing support from the State.
