At 9:20 a.m., the greenback in the parallel market was trading at S/ 3,890 for purchase and S/ 3,930 for sale, according to the portal cualestaeldolar.pe. For its part, in the banking market it was purchased at S/ 3,877 for the purchase and S/ 3,943 for the sale at Interbank windows.

In the local scenario, this occurs in a context of political tension in which the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, is accused of leading an alleged criminal organization that directed “fraudulent public tenders” to certain companies.

Meanwhile, in the economic context, yesterday the new head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Kurt Burneo, and the president of the BCRP, Julio Velarde, met to coordinate actions for the benefit of economic stability. The importance of the joint work of both institutions in order to boost the economy and generate greater well-being for all Peruvians was highlighted.
