An Ecuadorian canned beverage company would be on the verge of completing its first export to the Peruvian market. It is the company Enlata from Guayaquil, which produces the alcoholic drink Mixx, and is also dedicated to the canning of other carbonated drinks throughout the country, through maquila.
Víctor Paladines, the company’s partner, pointed out that Mixx, which has been present on the domestic market since March 2022, offers two presentations: Vodka Soda and Gin&Tonic with traditional and exotic fruit flavors. It is a mixed drink with 4% alcohol per 335 milliliters and does not contain sugar.

Paladines assured that the contact with the Peruvian company was made through the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries.

For his part, Antonio Álvarez, General Manager of Enlata, indicated that they are in the negotiation phase with the Peruvian company, and highlighted the visit of the Deputy Minister for Promotion of Exports and Investments, Ana María Gallardo, who toured the production plant, which has been active since May 2021 .
“We are in the process of sending samples, they are testing them and they will define. We send them costs and presentations,” said the entrepreneur, who did not want to reveal information about the Peruvian company interested in the product, since the operation has not yet been realized.

As for the maquila service, Paladines claimed the company has canned goods for at least eight companies across the country.
The Ministry of Support indicated that the medium and long-term goal is to strengthen the commercialization of these products in Latin America and the United States.
