During the event, figures from a study by the Organization and Promotion of the Purple Economy (OPEV) and the Supervisory Board of Companies were presented, which, as part of the analysis, revealed that between 2013 and 2018, public participation increased by two percentage points. of women in management positions in Ecuador .
Women presidents of boards continue to have a higher participation in micro and small companies, about 33%, with a difference of 10 percentage points in participation in large companies (23%).
Out of the total 303 issuers only the real sector 86 companies have at least one woman on their boards of directors, which represents 28% of participation. While the five largest institutions in the financial sector have women on their boards of directors. This represents approximately 26% of participation in relation to the male gender.
