The General Meeting of Shareholders (JGA) of Petroperú appointed the economist Brigitt Bruna Bencich Aguilar as the new non-independent director of the state oil company, replacing Edmundo Raúl Antonio Lizarzaburu Bolaños.
The brand new member of the Petroperú Board of Directors will assume her functions as of next April 24, according to a fact of high importance before the Superintendence of the Stock Market (SMV).
Brigitt Bruna Bencich Aguilar has a degree in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and a Master’s in Public Administration and International Development from the Jhon F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
She has more than 15 years of experience in public management, having developed most of her professional career in the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), where she held the position of vice minister in 2020.
She has also been director of Macrofiscal Studies of the Technical Secretariat of the Fiscal Council and director of Egesur, among others. Her last position was that of president of the Cofide Board of Directors, where she was appointed just last February 9 through No. 001-2023 / 002-FONAFE.
Gaveglio Aparicio y Asociados will audit Petroperú
On the other hand, the JGA of Petroperú, made up of the holders of the MEF and Minemratified the appointment made by the Comptroller General of the Republic through the Direct Appointment process, of the Audit Company Gaveglio Aparicio y Asociados Civil Limited Liability Company.
