The Congress of the Republic approved, through Law No. 31538, a supplementary credit in favor of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) for the sum of S/ 504 million 450,059 with the objective of guaranteeing the continuity of housing bonds until end of the year.
According to the MVCS, the resources, granted as a supplementary credit in the 2022 Public Budget, will allow a total of 14,886 low-income families to access decent and safe housing through the sector’s housing programs.
In this way, S/395.7 million will be allocated to deliver to 9,832 families the Family Housing Bonus of the Techo Propio (BFH) program in the Acquisition of New Housing modality. The remaining S/ 108.7 million will allow 5,054 disbursements of the Good Payer Bonus of the New Mivivienda Credit (BBP).
The law also contemplates additional resources for S/ 73.8 million to give continuity to 79 projects executed at the local government level. “These investments include urban sanitation works, rural sanitation and urban equipment,” said the Ministry of Housing in a press release.
The BFH in the New Housing Acquisition modality is a subsidy of S/ 40,250 aimed at low-income families who wish to purchase a social housing.
The BBP is a subsidy of between S/ 7,300 and S/ 25,700 that is aimed at middle-income people with a good credit history who access the New Mivivienda Credit.
