Sunat begins reimbursement of deductible expenses 2022

The National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) reported that as of this week the balance in favor of Income Tax for the year 2022 is being returned.

This applies to people who have had deductible expenses in hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, bars or the like and who requested electronic sales receipts. Additionally, EsSalud payments to domestic workers, consumption in tourist services, craft activity and expenses for assistance with professionals supported with receipts for electronic fees are also included.

The maximum amount that can be generated to deduct as an income tax expense for 2022, calculating the 3 UIT, is approximately S/13,800. “It is not that they are going to return that amount to me, but that the income is calculated on that deduction fifth or fourth category with rate ranges ranging from 8% to 30%, depending on the consumption that the person has had in the fiscal year”, indicated the tax attorney Miguel Carrillo to this medium.

In addition, the specialist specified that the return limit figure can reach up to S / 4,140. This in case it is certified that the worker reached the deduction of the 3 UIT.

This is an ex officio return, that is, users receive deposits automatically in the Interbank Account Code (CCI) registered with the Sunat.

It is important to mention that citizens with RUC must update their account on the official Sunat website – option ‘My procedures and inquiries’ – and, if they do not have one, register with their Clave Sol.

For those who do not have a RUC, they can register from the mobile application APP Peopleat the time of obtaining the Clave Sol.

It should be noted that the accounts must be in national currency, not correspond to a CTS and be personal.

To date, more than 285,000 of these workers have registered their CCI and the estimated amount of repayment to this group amounts to S/138 million. However, there are still 395,000 people who do not register.
