Congress approved a new recognition bonus for those who went from ONP to AFP since 2002

The Plenary of the Congress of the Republic approved, by majority, granting a new recognition bonus for ONP contributors who migrated to the AFP since 2002.

It is worth delimiting this opinion, it was voted at insistence after being observed by the Executive Branch.

Thus, with the support of 86 congressmen — 7 votes against and 14 abstentions — they gave the green light to the text that guarantees those who migrated to the AFP from the ONP do not lose their contributions, since the current regulations had a cutoff in 2001.

“The autograph would not be creating any pension rule since the recognition bonus has already been established in 1992, 1996 and 2001, which is why the insistence on the right to receive this bonus is ratified,” he added.
