Likewise, the President of the Congress is requested, Maria del Carmen Alvadispose of the procedure as “very urgent”.

It should be remembered that on July 12, Rural Agriculture The process of the third call for the international purchase of urea fertilizer began, since the first two did not prosper. This ends on July 27, with which it seeks to ensure the agricultural campaign that begins in August. However, the last phases of the call such as evaluation, negotiation and award can be extended, so it is not ruled out that it could be extended until July 30.

The Executive’s PL also points out that the fertilizers purchased and marketed by Midagri, through Agro Rural, will favor producers who have up to 10 hectares according to the register of Agricultural Producers. The contracting of goods and services necessary for delivery and distribution is also authorized.

For his part, Clímaco Cárdenas, president of Conveagro, told La República that he considers that a fully transparent process is not being carried out. “There is no transparent report [con respecto a la compra], there is too much obscurantism, we imagine that it is due to the fear of continuing to fail. If they buy cargo that is already on the high seas or that is already in Peru, they will make the delivery in August, otherwise it is not feasible. We call on Minister Alencastre to report, because we are waiting for the fertilizer and there are already many crops that are damaged.”
