According to a Significant Fact, Petroperu requested Perupetro to begin with the qualification and the next incorporation of Altamesa Energy Peru SAC as a new strategic partner to the License contract for the exploitation of Hydrocarbons in Block 192. In addition, it was authorized to continue with the contract of Terms and Conditions for the Joint Investment of said block.
“With Board Agreement No. 043-2023-PP it was agreed to authorize the Administration to continue with the execution of the “Terms and Conditions Contract for the Joint Investment in Block 192” and to send the corresponding ‘Notification to Perupetro’ requesting the initiation of the qualification of Altamesa Energy Canada Inc. in order to achieve the incorporation of Altamesa Energy Peru SAC as a strategic partner to the License Agreement for the exploitation of Hydrocarbons in Block 192”, the letter indicates.
As recalled, Perupetro and Petroperú signed the license contract for the exploitation of Block 192 for 30 years and the first goal to reactivate, after two years of paralysis, is oil production at 10,000 barrels per day.
