Holy Week 2023: know the price of fish in the main terminals of Lima

In the early hours of the morning of this Wednesday, April 5, a team from La República made a tour of thethe main fishing terminals of Lima to know the prices of fish and shellfish that tend to rise during the days close to the Easter, held this year from Sunday 2 to Saturday 8 April. According to custom, Good Friday is the day of the crucifixion and death of Jesus, for this reason, the faithful choose not to eat meat; instead, fish-based dishes are usually prepared.

According to the merchants consulted, prices can rise up to 20%; however, for now they are maintained, although they could increase if the tide does not allow fishing, they said. Here the prices per kilo of the most demanded species.

Today, Wednesday April 5, an increase in the price of fish is reported in the fishing terminal of Villa María del Triunfo, between S/2 and S/3. Here the prices in detail per kilo.
