Ecuadorians will be able to enjoy a holiday on Good Friday next April 7th, which joins Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th. Holy Week is the days in which the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are commemorated. Many Ecuadorian families are expected to move to different parts of the country.
During these three days of rest, private banks guarantee the provision of financial services through several of their channelssuch as after-hours office service.
The Association of Private Banks of Ecuador (Assobanca) recommends to clients of the financial system consult with the offices that will come with delayed hours.
On the other side, Ecuador’s private banks have other channels enabled during holidayssome of them 24 hours a day:
· 37,064 non-bank correspondents (CNB) available in all 221 cantons in the country. These channels offer various services, such as transfers, withdrawals and payments, and are strategically located in shops, bazaars, pharmacies, supermarkets and other small businesses.
· 4,835 ATMs where users can perform banking transactions, such as withdrawals and deposits.
· Digital banking, which enables transactions to be carried out via electronic devices, such as mobile phones and computers.
