Holy Week in Ayacucho would generate up to S/30 million this year

According to the union representative, this volume of tourists will generate a movement of up to S/30 million. “We estimate an income of between S / 20 and S / 30 million,” he commented to The Republic. He added that this figure will be higher than what was registered last year.

Along these lines, he also stressed that currently hotel reservations in the city are “almost full.” “Now we are in 80% crowded hotels,” he said.

What places to visit in Ayacucho?

The president of the Ayacucho Chamber of Commerce stresses that, although all Holy Week brings thousands of visitors to the city, one of the most important days will be tomorrow. “The most important day is the day of the meeting, this Wednesday. It is expected to have 10,000 or 20,000 visitors,” he estimates.

As for the destinations, apart from the festivities typical of these dates, tourists can take the opportunity to visit places such as the Piquimachay Cave, the Huari ruins, La Pampa de la Quinua, the Vilcashuamán fortress, among others, Soto recommends.
