By January 2024, it is expected to award the Longitudinal Highway of the Sierra Section 4 project, reported ProInvestmentin order to improve passability, comfort and safety on the Andean route.
Norman Zegarra, director of the project, maintained thate ProInversión opened the prequalification to invite new interested parties to execute the road work and, “shortly”, the bases and the contract will be updated to receive the opinions of the market.
Let us remember that the Longitudinal Highway of the Sierra Section 4 covers 955 km that connect Junín, Huancavelica, Ayacucho, Apurímac and Ica: 770 km for initial periodic maintenance, 180 km for rehabilitation and improvement, and 5 km for construction and operation.
ProInvestment This project hopes to benefit 1.6 million inhabitants within the highway’s area of influence as a result of the commercial, agricultural, and tourist movement with the new highway.
