On the night of Wednesday, March 29, Petroecuador reported that it had lifted the declaration of force majeure or fortuitous event for operations at the Yulebra field, block 61 and the Ishpingo, Tiputini, Tambococha ITT fields, block 43, located in Orellana province. .

With this decision, the oil operation will continue, according to the contingency plan that each unit has for these events.

“This shows the openness that the company has to maintain a constant dialogue with the communities in the areas of influence, to reach agreements that benefit both parties,” the state oil company said in a statement.

Petroecuador has indicated that the private companies providing the services have already been notified of the resumption of activities. The Ministry of Energy and Mining, Environmental Protection, and the Agency for Regulation and Control of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources were also notified; and other public institutions related to the activity of the oil company.

On the other hand, force majeure continues in Blocks 12 and 16, also located in Orellana.

Likewise, the entity stated that the control and supervision of hydrocarbon plants is coordinated with other institutions.
