Yape with DNI: digital wallet extends the deadline to migrate until April 18

Yape announced that it will extend until April 18 the maximum term for users who signed up with their DNI before September 3, 2022 to change to the new service with the Identity Document, if they haven’t already. Additionally, as of the 11th of the next month, they will not be able to receive yapeos or recharge money. The digital wallet of BCP makes this decision so that more of its users can enjoy all the features and benefits of the application.

“With the change to the new Yape with ID We want to improve the yapero experience, ensuring that they can carry out more transactions and have access to new Yape functionalities such as requesting a microcredit or paying for their services”, commented Rufino Arribas, leader of the Yape Tribe.

Arribas assured that yaperos should not worry about the money they have in their mobile wallet, because their balance and the record of their movements will be transferred to the new platform with DNI at the time of migration.

This pass to the new Yape with National Document is intended to improve the user experience and ensure that they can carry out more transactions and have access to new functionalities.

Indeed, the changes seek to improve the experience not only today, but also in view of the evolution of Yape, which each time offers a series of benefits and functionalities.

“We want a yapero who uses Yape without limitations and we assure them that nothing will change in terms of their experience, their relationship with Yape and our DNA,” said Rufino Arribas.

Since January of this year, Yape informed users about the migration through emails, messages in the app and posts on social networks with the aim that everyone is duly informed to avoid complications in the process.

The data

More than 2 million yaperos already use the new Yape with ID and they have all the benefits and functionalities that include microcredits, subject to evaluation, the payment of services, the payment of purchases online, among others.
