The US currency opened with a value of S / 4,0070, according to the Bloomberg portal. Likewise, at the beginning of the day, the North American currency registered a price of S / 4.0012, a considerably slight decrease compared to the current figure.

For its part, on its last day, the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP), reported that the greenback closed at S / 4,539. In the case of the National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat), this Thursday, November 18, the dollar is at S / 4,001 for purchase and S / 4,007 for sale. On the other hand, the Banco de la Nación indicates that the purchase of the international currency today is priced at S / 3.90 and its sale at S / 4.06.

In the economic sphere, the Minister of Economy, Pedro Francke, pointed out that, compared to the same period in 2019, the national economy recovered by 3% until September of this year. In this sense, the head of the MEF specified that, from estimates made by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Peru is the second fastest growing country in Latin America after the hit of the pandemic. “However, although we have recovered, the trend would indicate that we should be above; that is to say, we still have a product gap to recover, ”the official clarified during his presentation at CADE Executives 2021.

In addition, on last Wednesday, November 17, President Pedro Castillo took the oath of the new head of the Ministry of Production, Jorge Luis Prado Palomino. The professional will replace José Incio Sánchez, who held the position since October 7, 2021.
