Through Supreme Decree No. 041-2023-EF, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), approved the granting of a National Guarantee of S/ 2,000 million within the framework of Law No. 31658, which creates the MYPE Business Impulse Program (IMPULSO MYPERU).
This program seeks to support the process of economic recovery and growth of the micro and small businesses (Mypes). In addition, to promote financial inclusion, promoting its financing through the financial system.
Likewise, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 31658 and its Operating Regulations approved by Ministerial Resolution No. 066-2023-EF/15, Corporación Financiera de Desarrollo SA (COFIDE) is in charge of the administration of the Guarantee of the National Government.
As recalled, on March 22, the head of the MEF, Alex Contreras, had announced the agreement to transfer a guarantee to the Impulso Myperú program. However, it remained for Cofide to sign the contracts with the entities of the financial system so that they begin to place the guaranteed credits to the mypes.
“The supreme decree that approves the guarantee of the Impulso Myperú program, which will give credits to mypes for S/2,000 million, has been approved with the support of the Council of Ministers. It was approved today, urgently, with the objective that the program begin to give the first credits very soon,” the official told the press.
This regulation has been endorsed by the Minister of Economy and Finance, and the President of the Council of Ministers, Alberto Otárola Peñaranda. Likewise, it has the signature of the president of Peru, Dina Boluarte.
