They demand that Gloria regularize the distribution of the purple jar in the Glass of Milk program

The National Association of Organized Women of the Glass of Milk demands that the company Gloria regularize the distribution of the purple jar for this social program, since it is the only product of the company that is made with 100% cow’s milk; however, they have been informed that they have problems collecting food from national producers. Precisely, the brand launched this presentation on the market to comply with the new regulation of this dairy (DS 004) that came into force in October 2022.

“We make public opinion aware of our deep concern over the serious abuses against our beneficiaries who, under the pretext of a false and speculative shortage of milk, intend to sell their milk mixtures, harming the good nutrition of our children,” the association said in a statement. a pronouncement.

In addition, Silvia Pareja, representative of the National Association of Organized Women of the Glass of Milk, explained to this medium that it is necessary for municipalities to purchase directly from the company Glory milk because, by using distributors as an intermediary, the price rises and you can pay up to S/4.60 per jar, when in any store or winery its value reaches S/3.80.

“I have submitted a letter to Glory in February, asking them for a meeting, and to this day they have not answered me. I am demanding that they not force us to buy through a distributor because they exceed the price. In San Juan de Lurigancho, they want to sell for S/4.60 per unit,” Pareja said.

The new regulation requires that the evaporated milk be made from fresh milk and no longer with the powdered product, which was how Gloria made her classic blue jar. Therefore, the main request of the leader is that Gloria complies with the norm in favor of the main beneficiaries of this program, which are children in the growing stage.

It should be noted that Glory continues to market its blue jar under a new name: reconstituted milk enriched with vitamins A and D.
