This was revealed by the Minister of Production, Raul Perez Reyes, who indicated that there is an affectation of S / 508 million, an amount that could increase if the rainfall is prolonged. That is why he asked the authorities and civil society for there to be unity to face This problem is reflected in the household economy.

Raúl Pérez, who arrived this Friday, March 17, in the city of Chiclayo to hold a work meeting and deliver 10 tons of humanitarian aid, he stressed that the sectors hardest hit are commerce and services.

“Compared to other areas of the country that suffered the consequences of the rainy, es Lambayeque is the most affected, according to the latest estimates. It is expected that there will be no more rainfall and the figures will not change,” the official remarked.

According to the information that the government has of the president Dina Boluarte, the fall in sales means 1.2% of the regional Gross Domestic Product (GDP). “Lambayeque is the one that lost the most, with S/508 million, compared to other regions that report S/120 million and S/140 million,” said Raúl Pérez.

In this regard, he stated that the economic impact It is reflected in households and in different economic activities, including agriculture. Added to this, he affirmed, are the problems of insecurity.

He also mentioned that the Government distributed humanitarian aid. At the first opportunity it was three tons, then 13 tons and this Friday 10 tons were delivered. He added that Army brigades support the population, even distributing medical supplies, motorized pumps and tanks.
