Exchange rate in Peru: what it is trading at today, Wednesday, November 17, 2021

The price of the dollar in Peru today, Wednesday, November 17, starts at S / 3.9928, according to the Bloomberg portal. On the other hand, the parallel market indicates that the North American currency is quoted at S / 3,975 for purchase and S / 4,020 for sale. In the previous session, the greenback closed higher with S / 3,998, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

In terms of financial forecasts, Julio Velarde, president of the BCRP, said on Tuesday that business expectations have improved, therefore, the private investment would grow “slightly” by 2022.

“When we review investment for next year, maybe instead of 0%, which was our projection, it would end up growing and be slightly positive, as expectations have improved, but this is an inertia that comes from growth that would not only benefit us this year, if not the first and second quarters of 2022 may have an impact, ″ he explained at CADE Executives.

September’s gross domestic product (GDP) recorded an advance of 9.71%, while the annualized national production (12 months) reached 11.95%, according to information issued yesterday by the INEI.

In 2020, the drop in GDP was 11.12%, so experts consider that in the ninth month of 2021 the decline mentioned would have been surpassed for the first time, despite the fact that studies predicted a recovery only at the end of this year or early 2022. Added to this is the international scenario with a Chinese economy that has slowed down.
