They will transfer more than S/300 million to the Fund for interventions in the event of natural disasters

Through Supreme Decree No. 034-2023-EF, the Government authorized the transfer of Items in the Public Sector Budget for Fiscal Year 2023 for up to S/364 million 527,139. This will be to finance 133 interventions of the Comprehensive Plan of the Authority for Reconstruction with Changes (ARCC) charged to the resources of the Fund for interventions in the event of natural disasters (FONDES).

Likewise, it will be in favor of the national government, regional and local governments. The details of the specifications can be found in Annex I: “Transfer of Items in favor of two (02) specifications of the National Government, three (03) regional governments and twenty-seven (27) local governments” and in Annex II : “Transfer of Items in favor of one (01) specifications of the National Government.”

In addition, it is specified that the transferred resources cannot be used, under responsibility, for purposes other than those for which they are transferred and must be delivered within 5 calendar days of the validity of this legal provision.

The decree has the signatures of the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte; the President of the Council of Ministers, Alberto Otárola and the Minister of Economy, Alex Contreras Miranda.
