Euskaraz irakurri: Gasteizko Mercedes lantegiak ekoizpena geldituko du martxoaren 17an “stocka pilatu” zaiolako
The Mercedes Benz plant in Vitoria-Gasteiz will stop its production on March 17 due to the “high accumulation” of stocks in the markets where its vehicles are sold.
This stoppage in activity is the first to occur this year at the Álava plant, the largest in the Basque Country with 5,000 workers.
The suspension of the activity has been communicated this Thursday to the staff and will be computed in the flexibility bag agreed in the collective agreement.
In December of last year, it had to stop its activity for a week due to the high accumulation of stocks in the markets.
This stoppage, together with those that it had to carry out previously due to lack of supplies, led the company to adjust its production forecast for 2022 to 141,781 vans.
