ELA values ​​positively the strike being carried out by the Osakidetza cleaning staff. For this reason, it has decided to prolong the strike in the sector until March 19.

Faced with the immobility of Osakidetza and private companies, ELA believes that the fight must continue. ELA holds Osakidetza directly responsible for the situation, “since it is the public administration, unilaterally, who has decided not paying the professional career to subcontracted workers in this sector“.

As ELA has been able to learn, this is how Osakidetza has communicated to the Mixed Joint Commission. For this reason, and to denounce the political decision of the administration and change the course of the negotiation, ELA believes that it is “time to keep fighting”.

ELA is clear that mobilization is the only way to obtain the payment of the professional career and the unlocking of collective bargaining. In addition, he wants to remember again that the solution to this conflict does not go through the intervention of the Ertzaintza, nor the increase in minimum services. The solution to this conflict “passes through the payment of the professional career to subcontracted cleaners and with a real negotiation of the improvements of our working conditions”.

The mobilizations will continue on Tuesday, 7 of Marchconcentration at 12:00 p.m. at the Donostia Hospital and on Friday, March 10thin front of the Osakidetza headquarters in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
