Peruvian economy grew 9.71% in September of this year

National production in September of this year increased by 9.71%, driven by the favorable evolution of most economic sectors, with the exception of Fishing, and the Financial and Insurance sector, as reported by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics ( INEI).

In the technical report on National Production it is detailed that in the January-September period of this year the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 17.49%, while in the annualized period October 2020-September 2021 it did so by 11.95 %.

It should be noted that in September 2021 the third phase of economic reactivation was still in force, in which a series of productive activities were suspended and others operated with high restrictions according to the qualification of the State of Sanitary Emergency.

In the September production result, the positive contributions of the Mining and Hydrocarbons sector stood out; Accommodation and Restaurants; Other services; Transportation, Storage and Messaging; Commerce; Manufacture; Construction; which together represent 74% of the overall result.

Likewise, the Agricultural sectors; Telecommunications; Services Provided to Companies; Public Administration and, Electricity, Gas and Water.

On the contrary, the Fisheries sectors presented unfavorable results; as well as Finance and Insurance.
