According to the INE, the year-on-year rise in the CPI in February is mainly due to higher energy prices and to the fact that the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages have risen more than in February of last year.
On the contrary, in February the prices of fuels and lubricants fell, which increased in February 2022, and of combined passenger transport.
