In the case of exports from the non-mining and energy sector, the figure would be higher than US$25,000 million.
According to the analysis presented this Thursday, February 23 by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PromPeru), Peruvian exports in 2022 had a growth of 3.7% and totaled US$63.2 billion.
Likewise, they informed that, for this year, the objective is higher: sIt is estimated to exceed US$64,000 million in exports.
“As a goal for 2023, the sector estimates a conservative scenario, that total exports for that year will exceed US$64,000 million,” said Luis Fernando Helguero, Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur).
“In the case of exports from the non-mining and energy sector, we expect it to reach US$25,000 million,” added the head of Mincetur.
It should be noted that, last year, the three main exporting regions were Piura (US$2,489 million), Ica (US$2,309 million) and La Libertad (US$2,120 million). In addition, those that registered the highest progress rates were Cajamarca (+80%), Moquegua (74.7%) and Amazonas (+46.8%).
