Banco de la Nación extends validity of expired debit cards between December 2021 and May 2022

This measure seeks to guarantee fluid and orderly service in Banco de la Nación branches. Expansion to obtain new plastic will avoid congestion, especially during the dates of payment to social programs.

He Bank of the Nation (BN) reported that debit cards expired from December 2021 to May 2022 may be used until Friday, March 31, 2023 at the windows of the financial institution, MultiRed ATMs, MultiRed agents, MultiRed Virtual and Mobile Banking App.

The extension of validity on the indicated dates will avoid the congestion of the agencies, especially during the dates of payment to social programs, such as Pensión 65.

“In this way, users will have more time to renew their plastics. However, people who do not have the card due to theft, loss, deterioration or retention at ATMs must go to an agency to renew it, where they will be attended with priority,” the entity said in a statement.

Likewise, it is important to point out that debit cards expired in the aforementioned period cannot be used for purchases in establishments affiliated with Visa or in ATMs of other banks.

“BN advises its clients and users to use virtual and alternative channels, such as ATMs and MultiRed agents, to carry out banking operations and various payments without any risk,” he concluded.
