It should be noted that the Fertiabono Reinforcement (Fertiabono II) establishes a subsidy in favor of producers with up to five hectares, ranging from S/235 to S/2,350. Beneficiaries must plant one of the 40 crops established in the regulation that authorizes this payment.

Catastrophic Agrarian Insurance

On the other hand, Paredes highlighted that, as soon as they received information about the landslides that affected grape, apple and banana crops in the Ica region, Midagri coordinated actions with the Ica Regional Agrarian Directorate.

“We also have the Catastrophic Agrarian Insurance (SAC), which is a social protection measure, precisely aimed at farmers in the event of events of this type, be they floods, forest fires, frosts, droughts,” he explained in dialogue with Canal N .

The minister also indicated that the Catastrophic Agricultural Insurance (SAC) is in full execution in the 24 departments of the country and protects a total of 1.9 million hectares of transitory crops and permanent crops, against various climatic and natural risks, such as intense rains and huaicos that occur in the current season. Payment to the farmer will be S/800 for each insured hectare of crops.
