Produces: public purchases from mypes will approach S/300 million this 2023

Representatives of the mypes met with the head of Produce and the president. At that meeting, it was proposed to explore the expansion of the Compras MYPerú program.

In order to reactivate the mypes affected by the pandemic and by the social conflict registered in different regions of the country, the Minister of Production, Raúl Pérez Reyes, He argued that state purchases in favor of micro and small businesses (mypes) could reach S/300 million this year.

“In a meeting held with the President of the Republic and a group of mypes at the national level, we have explored expanding the MYPerú Purchases program to other activities such as the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education,” said Pérez Reyes, who was accompanied by the head of the Council of Ministers, Alberto Otárola.

The head of Produce recalled that DU 005-2023 was published a week ago, which allows the transfer of more than S/176 million for purchases for the manufacture of 2 million goods, such as clothing, complementary textiles and footwear for the Peruvian National Police (PNP).

For his part, the president of the PCM highlighted that The central government promotes all activities for the return to classrooms on March 13: “In this perspective we are promoting the products of medium and small companies that go through a demanding quality process and we urge the institutions to continue supporting the Peruvian businessman.”

Produce holder visited CITE

Through the Centers for Productive Innovation and Technology Transfer (CITE), micro, small and medium-sized companies are trained to improve the productivity and quality of their goods. It seeks to help them to innovate, optimize their processes, create new products, reduce costs and losses, with the purpose that they are reflected in prices to be more competitive.

The delegation, which was also made up of the executive director of the ITP and the vice-minister of Mypes and Industry, visited the laboratory for inputs, wood anatomy and physical and mechanical properties; and subsequently, attended the demonstration of the operation of the DART mass spectrometer, equipment donated by the United States that allows the identification of timber species through the determination of their chemical fingerprint. It is the first in Latin America and the third in the world.
