Euskaraz irakurri: Pentsio own system baten beharra aldarrikatu du Garbiñe Aranburuk

The general coordinator of the LAB union, Garbine Aranburu, has been interviewed this Tuesday on the “Faktoria” program of Euskadi Irratia, where she has spoken about the current economic situation. As the main idea, Aranburu has defended a own pension system for Euskal Herria. “What they should and do not want to do is improve salaries, raise the contribution ceilings and guarantee pensions. It is difficult to predict how the tax system will be in the Spanish State, but for us any new cutout would mean passing the Red linesince all the measures adopted so far have weakened the public system”, he explained.

In this sense, he has announced that they have sent a letter to PNV and PSE-EE to ask them to put aside the process of cuts and to give rise to a debate on the pension system itself.

“He economic concert It gives us room to create our own system. What happens is that here rules Confebask. It is necessary to guarantee social participation and give the unions a voice, since we have many proposals”, he added.

Regarding the VAT restrictions imposed by the Government of Spain, he has called for bolder steps. “The measures have not been taken in the right direction. It may be that at a given moment they will alleviate the situation, but that is not enough. We must to raise the taxes of big companies. It is time to redistribute wealth, to curb social differences”, he pointed out.

Lastly, regarding raising the salaries of public employees, Aranburu recalled that there is a general rule by which it is the State that decides on their salaries, although he has considered that they use that rule as an excuse. “The governments of the CAV and Navarra can improve public salaries, and for this reason we defend a Salary increase. Even so, we do not want this to condition the salary increase of private companies “, he concluded.
