Advance in the digital, energy and environmental transitions with transformative projects with a focus on decarbonisation. It will be the criteria that the Basque Government will prioritize when distributing 600 million euros in aid to SMEs of the CAV in 2023. 70% of the budget, specifically, 413,611,315 million euros, will be allocated to R&D+i and energy transition technology programmes.

The plan, which includes 83 programs designed in 12 subject areas, was presented this morning by the Minister of Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment of the Basque Government, Arantxa Tapia, and the CEO of the SPRI Group, Aitor Urzelai. “It is the true instrument to help Basque companies in any sector to face the uncertainties that have been suffered in recent years, but, above all, to accompany them in their evident drive to continue creating employment and wealth, boost the necessary digital, energy and environmental transitions, and reactivate the Basque economy based on the inclusive and sustainable model”, both highlighted.

As on previous occasions, the management of the aid will be the responsibility of EVE, Ihobe, URA, Hazi Fundazioa, Elika, as well as SPRI itself, Basque Trade & Investment and the Venture Capital Company. All these companies, coordinated by the Department directed by Tapia, will be in charge of analyze requests.

The Basque Government will organize some information days —the next 24, 27 and 28 February— in which companies will be able to find out the details of each of the aid lines and find the one that best suits their needs.

Likewise, all the information will be available both in print and online from today: they describe the name of the aid or service, the budget for this year, its description and objective, the type of possible beneficiary for whom the help, the estimated date of publication and a web link where to request it.
