Lima Stock Exchange closes the day with gains in 11 indicators and rises 0.40%

The mining sector was the one that reported the most gains in the day with 1.61%, followed by consumption and industrial.

The Lima Stock Exchange closed the session this Thursday, February 16 with gains in most of its indices scoring 11 indicators up and 5 down. Thus, the S&P/BVL Peru General Indexthe most representative of the Lima stock market, rose 0.40% to 21,969.55 points.

For his part, he S&P/BVL Peru Selective Indexwhich is made up of the most traded shares in the local market, gained 0.29% and settled at 574.36 units.

The mining sector was the one that reported the most gains in the day with an advance of 1.61%, followed by consumption (0.98%) and industrial (0.18%). On the other hand, the items that registered losses were financial (-0.45%), services and electricity (-0.16%) and construction (-0.15%).

Among the local companies that registered the greatest losses were: Volcan Compañía Minera (-3.77%), Aceros Arequipa (-3.23%) and Backus and Johnston (-2.08%). While those that registered gains were: Cervecería San Juan (9.38%), Hidrandina (6.00%) and Casa Grande (5.00%).
