Parliamentarian Digna Calle asked the Economic Commission of Congress to prioritize the debate on the project. Term ends on February 17.
The debate on a bill that proposes a new withdrawal of up to S/19,800 (4 UIT) from the individual funds of the AFPs is pending in the Congressional Economic Commission.
In this regard, Congresswoman Digna Calle (Podemos Peru) asked Rosangella Barbarán —president of said working group— to prioritize this initiative so that it can be evaluated in the Plenary of Congress immediately, since the legislature ends this week.
“There are four days left until the end of the legislature, and Congress has the opportunity to help the economy of families by approving a new withdrawal of their funds from the AFPs. For this reason, I have asked the Economy Commission to prioritize the opinion of my project,” Calle said on Twitter.
Said Digna Calle project ensures that “more than 8 and a half million AFP affiliates demand its approval”, although, if given, it does not contemplate citizens qualified for the Early Retirement Regime due to unemployment.
