Greater progress was registered in 97 octane gasoline. Diesel for vehicle use is the only one that has fallen since January.
The reference prices of the main fuelsDespite recording two consecutive weeks of decline, they record an advance of up to S/0.98 per gallon so far in 2023, according to reports from the Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin).
In recent weeks, the greatest advance has been recorded in 97-octane gasoline, which went from S/9.44 on Monday, January 2, to S/10.42 on February 13. In the same period, 95 gasoline also rose S/0.93 and reached S/10.11. For their part, 90 and 84 gasoline reached S/9.64 and S/8.75 after rising S/0.87 and S/0.76, respectively.
Meanwhile, 97 octane gasohol rose S/0.78 from January and climbed to S/10.4 per gallon. The 95 and 90 octane gasoholes increased by S/0.73 and S/0.68, and were located at S/10.11 and S/9.68 per gallon, respectively. The 84 gasohol rose S/0.57 to S/8.85.
The only fuel that recorded a negative variation was diesel for vehicle use so far this year, and it stood at S/11.58 after falling back by S/0.95. The smallest increase was recorded in bottled LPG or for domestic use, which rose by S/0.46 to S/2.53 per kilogram.
The reference prices published by Osinergmin are the result of the average price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude, which since January has remained below US$80 per barrel on average.
