The airports of the CAV exceed the pre-pandemic data in January

As for the Hondarribia airport, 27,736 passengers used the Gipuzkoan infrastructure in January. Thus, passenger traffic has grown by 45% compared to the same month of 2019.

Regarding operations, in January 343 landing and takeoff movements were registered, which implies a recovery of 84.3%.

He Vitoria-Gasteiz airportfor its part, has started the year with a growth of 83.2% in passenger traffic compared to 2019, accounting for a total of 18,122 passengers.

In the air cargo section, freight traffic at the Álava terminal also continues to rise. 5,666 tons were reached in the first month of the year, 10.1% more than in the same month of 2019. Therefore, the upward trend of recent years continues after the historical record achieved in 2022.

As for operations, in January 2023, 1,003 landing and takeoff movements were recorded, representing an increase of 29.3% compared to the exercise of January 2019.
