CCL: government-to-government investments total 23,920 million soles

The Lima Chamber of Commerce reported this Friday that investment commitments under the Government to Government (G2G) mechanism reach 23,920 million soles, and these involve six projects that are in the process of execution, meaning an important contribution in times of COVID-19.

According to the president of the CCL’s Infrastructure and Engineering Association, Miguel Honores, new investment mechanisms are required to reactivate important infrastructure projects.

“It is thus that the Government to Government (G2G) agreements that are being executed in the country, have not only become an effective alternative to carry out infrastructure works, but also have the potential to close the existing gap in the sector” , Add.

Among the projects under this mechanism are the new Chinchero International Airport, the Sergio Bernales and Antonio Lorena hospitals, the New Central Highway and the Santa Rosa Expressway, and the Comprehensive Plan for Reconstruction with Changes (PIRCC).

Likewise, it specifies that the G2G mechanisms ensure the execution of projects with the speed of contracts and knowledge transfer, which would have a significant impact on the 21 projects of the National Competitiveness Infrastructure Plan (PNIC), which according to the project of the Public Budget 2022 (PP2022), will receive funds during 2022.

Of this total, twelve are public works that will have 1,535 million soles, nine projects that will receive 1,524 million soles, of which six are co-financed PPPs and three are Active Projects (PA).
