The National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) reported that now the Declaration of Temporary Income and the issuance of Proof of Custody will be generated automatically after filling the Affidavit of Baggage (DJE) using the APP Welcome to Peru. For greater ease, it can be downloaded to a cell phone or tablet.
Thus, when the passenger includes in his DJEregistered through the appgoods intended for artistic, scientific, cultural, sports or educational purposes, among others, will automatically generate the Declaration of Temporary Income correspondent.
“Once it is confirmed, the declaration will be sent to the e-mail declared by the traveler, leaving a record of its presentation. In this way, travelers will no longer have to manually fill out the Temporary Income Declaration,” said Sunat.
In the event that the passenger has included in the DJE goods that for various reasons cannot complete the formalities for their entry into the country, la Sunat will automatically generate the Proof of Custody, The same will be sent to the declared email, remaining in the hands of the administration until its subsequent customs destination or return abroad.
