During February, the earnings of the hotel sector would present a rise, also driven by the celebration of February 14.
For this month of February, the demand for hotels would grow by 20%, according to estimates by Viajes Falabella. This projection is in accordance with the celebrations of February 14 for Valentine’s Day, a date that would bring an increase in the sector.
“Although February is not usually one of the months of the year with the highest sales, the celebration of a date like Valentine’s Day becomes a driving force for the travel market,” said Rodrigo Verán, marketing manager of Viajes Falabella.
In this sense, another of the most planned activities are trips by Valentine’s Day. Among the destinations most requested by couples are Buenos Aires, Santiago, Cartagena, Rio de Janeiro and the Caribbean beaches.
Likewise, the approximate budget for these trips is US$400. “For example, with the campaign, we can find travel packages to Cartagena of five days and four nights from US$434,” added the specialist.
