LAB considers the regularization agreement for the temporary staff of public administrations insufficient

The situation in the Basque Administration requires many more tools to consolidate all temporary employees, according to the secretary of Public Services of LAB, Gorka Berasategi.

The LAB union considers that the agreement reached yesterday between the PNV and the Spanish Government to promote the regularization of the temporary staff of public administrations, is not going to solve the problem of temporary employment in the Basque Administration.

According to the EITB, the secretary of the Federation of Public Services of LAB, Gorka Berasategi, “the situation that we have in the Basque administrations requires many tools to consolidate all the people who suffer abuse of temporary employment and who would be in fraud “.

One of those tools could be, as Berasategi has admitted, the contest of merits, but this route “would leave many people out, because as they have agreed it can become insufficient, especially in areas where interim reaches the fifty %”.

In this sense, Berasategi has stressed that with the agreement reached “they will have to carry out a process of access to the civil service that does not correspond to a consolidation process.”
