More mypes will be able to access the FAE-Texco

Financing. The universe of eligible businesses was expanded. In addition, they evaluate giving a bonus for paying their debts on time.

The Executive Power, in its desire to boost the productive activity of mypes, extended the scope of businesses that will be able to access FAE-Texco. This, through Law 31683 enacted yesterday after being approved by Congress.

This way, Micro, small and medium-sized companies that register annual sales of up to 2,300 UIT for the last year will be able to access these credits. (S/11 million 385,000).

Likewise, the cap on interest rates given in FAE-Texco auctions was repealed.

It is worth remembering that this program is aimed at small businesses in the textile and clothing sector, and provides them with loans of up to S/100,000 for their working capital, purchase of machinery and equipment, among others, with a rate of up to 17%.

Even from the Ministry of Production (Produce) they advanced that the mypes will be helped with a good payer bonus to make interest rates more bearable.

“Rates range from 13.5% to 17%, with coverage up to 95%. We are promoting and the good payer bond should be coming out soon, which can precisely help lower this interest rate to the mypes that have complied (with their payments)”, assured the vice minister of Mype and Industry, Javier Davila.

On the other hand, the injection of S/150 million to the Mipyme Entrepreneur Fund was made official, with which training will be provided and market access will be improved.

Daniel Hermosa, director of Mypes Unidas del Perú, considers that “any addition” in favor of mypes is sensible, as long as it is channeled effectively and quickly because the current crisis affects daily life. “The unanimous request of the unions (of mypes) has been heard to make the FAE-Texco more flexible. Let’s remember that their rates are higher than those of Reactive Peruand now with this policy of good payers there will be a stimulus,” he said for La República.

More support for mypes

The Impulso Myperú regulation, which was promulgated on December 30, 2022, is pending publication. Alex Contreras, head of the MEF, told this newspaper that the first loans would begin to be granted in March and, for this, “between January and February” would come out the regulations of the program that will give until S/2,000 million in credits to help mypes.
