They warn of absences of the Minister of Energy and Mines in the Natural gas Commission

The president of the Council of Ministers, Mirtha Vásquez, issued an official letter in which she urged the Minister of Energy and Mines, Eduardo González Toro, to attend the meetings of the Multisectoral Commission to expand natural gas reserves.

The document specifies that González Toro did not attend the calls scheduled for November 5, 9 and 11, which had to be rescheduled in the absence of the key actor for the development of guidelines with a view to mass hydrocarbon.

It is worth emphasizing that this Multisectoral Commission is not in charge of renegotiating the natural gas contracts with the Camisea Consortium., since, according to law, this work must be led by Perupetro.

Along these lines, the Multisectoral Commission has until the fortnight of December to present a report to Perupetro with the key points that the Government seeks to renegotiate with the Camisea Consortium, for which – according to what Vásquez points out – the presence of González Toro is urgent. to identify the sectoral policies to modify.
