The government offers a unique bonus for affected families to access housing after being victims of natural disasters.

He Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) will make a call to deliver the Emergency Leasing Bonus (BAE)a subsidy of S/500 to all the families that have suffered from the collapse of their houses as a result of natural disasters in different regions of the country or as a result of human action. Financial support will be granted based on the Family Registration of Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (EDAN), on the occasion that it is considered that their homes have become uninhabitable.

What is the Emergency Leasing Bonus?

How to access the Emergency Leasing Bonus?

After the Government initiates a declaration of State of emergency approved by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) The beneficiaries will carry out the following steps to access the subsidy:

  • The local governments of the affected areas should check the damage in the area registered by the State of Emergency about what the damage is and how many families will be part of this economic benefit.
  • Submit a grant application of the BAE for victims with the following document: HERE.
  • Submit an affidavit of not having a different home in the emergency region. That is, do not have more than one property. To do this, they must access the following document: HERE.
  • Indicate the location of the home to be rented, the district, province, and a lease signed between the representative of the family group and the landlord of the home. Each with legalized signatures.
  • The MVCS will establish the official list of beneficiaries for the bond on the ministry’s platform and on the Fondo Mivivienda page.
  • Finally, families will be able to collect the subsidy from the Banco de la Nación.
