American fighter League Nurmagomedov Kevin Lee announced the transition to the UFC
American fighter Kevin Lee, known for his performances in the Eagle FC league of Khabib Nurmagomedov, announced his return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). His words are quoted by ESPN.
The athlete said that he reached an agreement with promotion president Dana White and chief executive officer Hunter Campbell. “I am grateful to them for taking me back and looking forward to the next chapter of my career,” said the fighter.
Lee made his Eagle FC debut on March 11, 2022 at a tournament in Miami. He defeated UFC veteran Diego Sanchez. Later, the American converted to Islam. Lee admitted that he earns more in Nurmagomedov’s Eagle FC than some UFC champions. He also emphasized that there is a high level of competition between fighters in the organization.
The fighter competed in the UFC from February 2014 to August 2021. In the previous fight with the promotion, he lost to compatriot Daniel Rodriguez by unanimous decision.
In total, Lee has 19 wins with seven defeats. He has been playing professionally since 2012.
