In an interview carried out this Thursday in the “Faktoria” program of Euskadi Irratia, the general secretary of ELA, False Lakuntza, has asked the Basque Government and the political parties to clarify what is really behind the European funds. Likewise, he stressed that “it is clear that European funds are linked to the decrease in pensions” and that the key to forming a majority will be in the position of PNV and EH Bildu: “It is up to them to stop them.”
The Spanish Government and the European Commission agreed yesterday conditions to be able to receive financial aid to face the crisis generated by the pandemic. The pension reform is one of them. Brussels has several requirements, including extending the number of years of contributions on which the amount of the pension is calculated.
